About
”I am a self-taught artist and began my journey in 2008 as a designer and illustrator, both in-house and as a freelance business owner providing Branding and Paper goods. Recently, I’ve been working in medical illustration (since 2020) and have a strong interest in animation and game illustration.
Like many artists, when I was young I was incredibly creative, but, I had a very modest upbringing. As I grew, my vision of success was simply to get a roof over my head as soon as possible. It didn’t matter the job, or the title.
I only needed to scrape enough together to get a deposit to rent a home with my partner - Perhaps one day I’d finally achieve owning my own home, and then I can finally sink into that long-term security I’ve always hoped for. My cosy home where I could sleep, cook and make art.
Thankfully, with a not-so-small amount determination, I’m lucky enough to live in and own my own home, these days. I have a beautiful life with my partner - now Husband - and our gorgeous, not-so-quiet, Corgi named Willow. It’s a dream to be where I am and I’m so glad to say success has a different taste entirely now. I’ve been very successful. So… perhaps my passionate artwork can come first now.
My portfolio demonstrates my ability to create thoughtful illustrations that communicate effectively through composition, colour and shape language. I’m very passionate about storytelling and like to show this in my work wth colour and shape. I love to read, write (although I rarely share writing because of my dreadful spelling…) and play long games of dungeons and dragons when I get the chance. I like the sea and like to drink wine too. It’s pretty much the good life from now on.”
