Softly No. 11 Limited Edition Print (Members Only)

£45.00

40 × 30mm Timed, signed, limited edition print of the soft pastel work, Softly. Archive Quality, German Etching paper print.

This product includes the signed and numbered print and certification. This print is unframed and has a red border.

Softly runs in the same vein as No.7 Lucky. Throughout, you see the harder edges of the stars softening as their long journey continues. It has a sense of gaining more insight, the further you go, and the more time you spend. I have in mind a very very useful thought - that the heart does not forget; you learn to live with a loss. Instead our hearts expand with time, so we can’t feel the prickly edges so much. You die when they die. That version of you does anyway. Don’t think for one second it doesn’t. You mourn yourself as much as you mourn them. The future you had, the life you were leading.

You have to grow a new self. One that can carry the weight of them not being in your world any more. It’s hard, and it’s very sad. It’s also very beautiful if you can get to the point where you feel soft enough in your heart to see it expand, and capture the new you that can look at all the times you had and be happy that you had them.
